Ibizan hounds are clean, well-mannered, and very loyal to their families, though sometimes reserved with strangers. They are playful with children, if socialized with them at an early age.

Appearance
The Ibizan's coat may be smooth or wiry; the wire coat often includes a generous mustache. Coats are red or lion-colored (light yellowish red) with white feet, tail tip, chest, muzzle, and blaze; pied (equal parts red and white); solid white; or solid red. The nose is a rosy color
