The Russian Wolfhound is often reffered to these days as the Borzoi. The dog was used by the nobility during the time of large hunts.The Russian Wolfhound has extreme speed, agility, and courage making it an excellant hunting dog. It is also a very self confident breed of dog. Despite the fact that it was used for hunting it has a very aristocratic attitude. It also has many characteristics similar to a greyhound.

The height is around 28 inches and weight around 80 to 100 pounds.
